Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or any mix-ins you like)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips (or your choice of mix-ins).
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easier mixing. Don’t overmix the dough to keep the cookies soft. You can chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for a thicker cookie. Experiment with different mix-ins like nuts, dried fruits, or candies.
