Description
Quick and fluffy dinner rolls perfect for any meal or gathering, made in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to proof for 2-5 minutes.
- Add the oil, salt, egg, and flour (1 cup at a time). Mix with a stand mixer until combined. Let the mixer knead the dough for about 4 minutes; the dough should be fairly soft.
- Spray your hands with baking spray and shape the dough into 15 individual balls.
- Place the dough in the prepared baking dish and cover with a dish towel.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and let the dough rise while preheating.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush the top with melted butter before serving.
Notes
Make sure your water is warm, but not too hot, to help the yeast activate properly. For extra flavor, consider adding herbs, garlic powder, or cheese to the dough.
