Description
Delightful heart-shaped pancakes perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray or add a little butter.
- To make the heart shapes, use a squeeze bottle or a piping bag to drop the batter in the shape of a heart on the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining batter.
Notes
Serve with fresh berries, whipped cream, or maple syrup. Add powdered sugar for an extra touch.
