Description

Delightful heart-shaped pancakes perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray or add a little butter.
  5. To make the heart shapes, use a squeeze bottle or a piping bag to drop the batter in the shape of a heart on the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining batter.

Notes

Serve with fresh berries, whipped cream, or maple syrup. Add powdered sugar for an extra touch.
