Description

A smooth, warm, and gently spiced traditional dessert made with navy beans, perfect for holidays and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 ½ cups cooked navy beans (rinsed & well-drained)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blend the navy beans in a food processor until completely smooth. Add melted butter, eggs, evaporated milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt. Blend until creamy and well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust and smooth the top.
  4. Bake for 45–55 minutes until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden.
  5. Cool at least 1 hour before slicing for clean cuts. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

Blend beans very smooth for the best texture. Use room-temperature eggs for even mixing. Let the pie cool fully for perfect slices. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top after baking for extra fragrance.
