Ingredients

  • 1 (14 to 16-ounce) loaf soft French bread
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and place cut sides facing up on the baking sheet.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and let steep for about 3 minutes. Stir in salt and parsley until combined.
  4. Generously brush the garlic butter mixture onto the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Bake for approximately 15 minutes until golden brown; broil for an additional 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
