- 1 (14 to 16-ounce) loaf soft French bread
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and place cut sides facing up on the baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and let steep for about 3 minutes. Stir in salt and parsley until combined.
- Generously brush the garlic butter mixture onto the cut sides of the bread.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes until golden brown; broil for an additional 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Slice into pieces and serve warm.
Notes
For better flavor, use room-temperature butter and finely mince the garlic. You can also add herbs like oregano or basil for variation.
