Description

A delightful appetizer combining sweet blackberries and creamy goat cheese on toasted baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • 6 oz goat cheese
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 tbsp honey or balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  3. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush each side lightly with olive oil.
  4. Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. In a bowl, soften goat cheese at room temperature. Optionally, mix with a splash of milk for a whipped texture.
  6. Spread a generous layer of goat cheese onto each toasted baguette slice.
  7. Top each with 2–3 blackberries, lightly pressing some to release their juice.
  8. Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze.
  9. Sprinkle with fresh rosemary or thyme. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to a day if assembled carefully.
