Description

A quick and healthy side dish that features broccoli stir-fried in a savory garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), cornstarch, and water to create a sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the broccoli and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the broccoli is cooked to your desired tenderness.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

Keep broccoli slightly crisp for the best texture. Try garnishing with sesame seeds or a squeeze of lemon.
