- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup real maple syrup
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth.
- Mix in the egg and maple syrup until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup for the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be frozen with parchment paper layers.
