Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Mix in the egg and maple syrup until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool.
  9. In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup for the glaze.
  10. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies before serving.
