- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips or M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the butter until it smells nutty, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter and brown sugar until well mixed.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips or M&M’s.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Serve these Blondies warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a glass of milk. Store in an airtight container.
