Description

Deliciously chewy blondies made with nutty browned butter for a rich flavor. Perfect for parties or cozy desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the butter until it smells nutty, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter and brown sugar until well mixed.
  4. Add in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips or M&M’s.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve these Blondies warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a glass of milk. Store in an airtight container.
