Description

A warm and cheesy dip that combines the fresh flavors of a Caprese salad with gooey mozzarella and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine diced fresh tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped fresh basil, and olive oil in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix grated mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Stir the tomato and basil mixture into the cheese mixture until fully blended.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For best results, use ripe but firm tomatoes and drain any extra liquid if they are very juicy.
