- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the sliced strawberries gently.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While brownies are baking, make the chocolate ganache by heating the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Pour it over the chocolate chips in a bowl and let it sit for 2-3 minutes before stirring until smooth.
- Once brownies are done, let them cool, then pour the chocolate ganache over the top.
- Allow the ganache to set for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
These brownies are best served warm or at room temperature. Top with extra strawberries or serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
