- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- Additional chocolate for drizzling
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips and crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once the cookies are cooled, melt additional chocolate and drizzle it over the top.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
