Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk.
  5. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Mix the sugar and cinnamon for the coating in a small bowl.
  10. Once the bread is out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then brush with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
