Description

Warm, soft, and sweet donuts baked in a pan and rolled in cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast or snack time.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mix together the melted butter, egg, buttermilk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
  8. Mix the sugar and cinnamon for rolling in a small bowl.
  9. Roll each donut in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while still warm.
