Description

This Cinnamon Swirl Donut Bread is quick and full of warm cinnamon flavor, making a soft loaf that feels like a donut in every slice.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In the loaf pan, pour half of the batter, sprinkle with half of the brown sugar and cinnamon, and then pour the remaining batter on top.
  6. Use a knife to swirl the topping into the batter.
  7. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
