Description
A simple and warm cinnamon quick bread with a sweet swirl, perfect for snacks or breakfast.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the sugar mixture.
- Use a knife to swirl the batter gently.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter. Use room temperature eggs for even mixing.
