- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 Oreos, crushed (plus additional for topping each cookie)
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips (plus additional for topping each cookie)
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (plus additional for topping each cookie)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together on medium speed for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, beating until just combined.
- Mix in the crushed Oreos, white chocolate chips, and dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a 2 tbsp cookie scoop, form dough balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 2 inches apart. Top each with additional crushed Oreos and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet for 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm or with a glass of milk. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
