Description

Delightful crescent rolls filled with sweet surprises, perfect for parties or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) or 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon colored candy sprinkles
  • 2 Fruit Roll-ups™ chewy fruit-flavored rolls (if desired)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. If using crescent rolls, unroll the dough and separate it into 2 large rectangles. Overlap the long sides to form a 13×7-inch rectangle and press the edges to seal. If using the dough sheet, just unroll the dough.
  3. Cut the large rectangle in half lengthwise, then cut both halves crosswise to make 12 smaller rectangles (about 3 1/2 x 2 inches).
  4. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of mini chocolate chips in the center of each small rectangle.
  5. Pull the two long sides together and pinch to seal. Pinch each end about 1/2 inch from the edges.
  6. Place the sealed poppers seam side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Cut each end of the poppers 3 times to create a fringe effect.
  8. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with colored candy sprinkles.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Once cooled, cut the fruit-flavored snacks into 24 strips and tie them around both ends of each popper.

Notes

Ensure edges are well pinched to prevent filling leakage. Customize the filling as desired.
