A delightful cheese bread that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups room temperature water
- 2–4 tbsp all-purpose flour for shaping
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheese, any kind
- 1 cup cheese cubes, cut to about ½ inch
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 3 cups of flour, sea salt, instant yeast, grated cheese, and cheese cubes.
- Measure 1 ½ cups of room temperature water and pour it into the dry ingredients.
- Stir until all the dough comes together and there are no pockets of flour left.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in a warm area to rise for 3-4 hours.
- Near the end of the rising time, put your empty Dutch oven (with the lid on) into your oven and preheat to 425°F.
- Remove the plastic wrap from the dough and add 2-4 tablespoons of flour to help shape the dough into a ball.
- When the oven reaches 425°F, carefully remove the hot Dutch oven.
- Drop the dough into the hot Dutch oven.
- Bake your cheese bread at 425°F for 30 minutes with the lid on.
- After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until browned.
- Remove the loaf and let it cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm, and feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add herbs for extra flavor.
