Description
This fun and quick bubble gum recipe is perfect for kids. It’s easy to make with a few ingredients and creates soft, chewable gum that children will love.

- 2 cups gum base
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon flavoring extract (vanilla, strawberry, peppermint, etc.)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Place a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) and add the gum base. Warm until it softens, about 3–5 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup corn syrup to the softened gum base and stir until smooth.
- Remove the bowl from heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon of your chosen flavoring and food coloring if desired.
- Slowly add 1 cup powdered sugar and stir until the mixture is thick.
- Dust a clean surface with powdered sugar and turn the gum mixture onto it. Let it cool slightly.
- Knead the gum like dough until smooth, adding more powdered sugar if sticky.
- Roll the gum into a log and cut into small pieces. Shape as desired.
- Let pieces sit at room temperature for 1 hour to set.
Notes
Store in an airtight container and keep at room temperature. Use within 2 weeks for the best flavor. Dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
