Description

Delightfully soft and fluffy dinner rolls that are easy to make in just one hour, perfect for family gatherings or everyday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Extra melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, warm water, melted butter, milk, and honey to about 110°F.
  3. Pour the warm liquid into a mixing bowl and sprinkle yeast over it. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Add 3 ½ cups of flour and salt to the yeast mixture.
  5. Mix on medium-low with a dough hook until combined. Add more flour if necessary until the dough pulls away from the bowl.
  6. Knead for 4-5 minutes until smooth, then shape into a ball in a greased bowl.
  7. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
  8. Punch down the dough, divide into 15 pieces, and shape into balls. Place in baking dish and let rise for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  10. Brush with melted butter and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure liquids are warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast. For a soft texture, cool rolls in the pan covered with a towel.
