Description

A beautiful and healthy Heart Shaped Caprese Salad, perfect for special occasions, featuring fresh tomatoes, bocconcini cheese, and basil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 vine tomatoes (11 thin slices)
  • 10 slices bocconcini cheese (200 grams)
  • 10 basil leaves (or mint)
  • 2 slices Provolone cheese
  • 1 pinch salt (to taste)
  • 1 drizzle olive oil (to taste)
  • 1 drizzle balsamic glaze (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the tomatoes. Cut each tomato into 5-6 thin slices and set them aside.
  2. Cut the bocconcini cheese into slices.
  3. Arrange the tomato and bocconcini cheese slices so they overlap and form a heart shape.
  4. Add basil or mint leaves on top for presentation.
  5. Take the Provolone cheese and place one slice on top of the other. Cut out mini heart shapes from the cheese. You should get 12 mini hearts.
  6. Arrange the mini cheese hearts on top of the salad.
  7. Add a pinch of salt on the tomatoes and bocconcini, followed by a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic glaze.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use ripe tomatoes for better flavor. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze just before serving.
