- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
- 2 tablespoons Bubble Gum Base
- 1 teaspoon Flavoring Drops
- Optional: Food Coloring
Instructions
- Clean your pan and tools. Measure all ingredients first.
- Mix 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup corn syrup in a small saucepan.
- Heat on low and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mix to a gentle boil for 1–2 minutes. Do not burn.
- Remove from heat. Let cool for 30 seconds.
- Add 2 tablespoons bubble gum base and 1 teaspoon flavoring drops. Stir fast until the base melts and blends.
- If you want color, add a drop or two of gel food coloring and stir.
- When the mix is cool enough to touch, butter your hands lightly and knead the gum on a clean surface until smooth and elastic.
- Shape the gum into a ball or small pieces. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before chewing.
Notes
Store gum in an airtight container. Keep it in a cool, dry place. It lasts about 1–2 weeks at room temperature. For longer storage, keep in the fridge for up to a month.
