Description
Freshly baked Homemade Ciabatta Bread with a soft and airy texture, perfect for sandwiches or enjoyed with olive oil.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add the water, stirring until a wet dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours until it has doubled in size and has bubbles on the surface.
- Generously flour a work surface and gently turn the dough out, being careful not to deflate it too much.
- Divide the dough into two equal pieces and shape them into loaves.
- Place the loaves on a floured surface, cover them with a kitchen towel, and let rise for 2-3 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Carefully transfer the loaves into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing. Enjoy!
Notes
For best results, let the dough rise for the full time suggested and use precise measurements. Store ciabatta at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer storage.
