Ice (enough to fill large bag halfway)

1/3 cup rock salt or kosher salt

1 quart-size zip-top bag

1 gallon-size zip-top bag


Instructions

Pouring ingredients into small ziplock bag

1. Pour milk, sugar, and vanilla into the small bag. Seal tightly.

2. Fill the large bag halfway with ice and sprinkle in the salt.

3. Place the sealed small bag into the large one. Seal tightly.

4. Shake the bag for 5–7 minutes. Use a towel to protect hands.

5. Open carefully, wipe salt off the small bag.

6. Scoop ice cream and serve with your favorite toppings.
