Description
A quick and fun method for how to make a ice cream in a bag no machine needed! Kids and adults will love this customizable, creamy treat.
Ingredients

1 cup half-and-half or milk of choice
2 tbsp sugar or sweetener
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Ice (enough to fill large bag halfway)
1/3 cup rock salt or kosher salt
1 quart-size zip-top bag
1 gallon-size zip-top bag
Instructions

1. Pour milk, sugar, and vanilla into the small bag. Seal tightly.
2. Fill the large bag halfway with ice and sprinkle in the salt.
3. Place the sealed small bag into the large one. Seal tightly.
4. Shake the bag for 5–7 minutes. Use a towel to protect hands.
5. Open carefully, wipe salt off the small bag.
6. Scoop ice cream and serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Use fruit purée for sugar-free version.
Swap in non-dairy milk for vegan-friendly results.
Dry ice can replace salt and ice for ultra-fast freezing.
