- 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another dish, beat the eggs and milk together.
- Place the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip it in the egg mixture, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
- Mix the remaining Parmesan with the mozzarella and minced garlic, then top the chicken with this cheese mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Notes
Pound the chicken to an even thickness for even cooking and use fresh breadcrumbs for a crunchier texture.
