Description

A delightful dish capturing the essence of Longhorn Steakhouse’s favorite chicken, full of flavor and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs and milk together.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip it in the egg mixture, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
  8. Mix the remaining Parmesan with the mozzarella and minced garlic, then top the chicken with this cheese mixture.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Notes

Pound the chicken to an even thickness for even cooking and use fresh breadcrumbs for a crunchier texture.
