Description

A stunning dessert with a shiny, smooth surface, perfect for Valentine’s Day or anniversaries. This heart-shaped cake is both visually impressive and delicious.

Ingredients

  • High-quality food coloring (gel or liquid, preferably red or pink)
  • Neutral mirror glaze mix or ingredients (gelatin sheets, glucose, condensed milk)
  • Heart shaped cake silicone molds
  • Offset spatula for spreading glaze base
  • Digital thermometer

Instructions

  1. Prepare and fully chill your heart-shaped sponge or mousse cake base.
  2. Assemble the mirror glaze mixture, ensuring the temperature is between 90-95°F (32-35°C).
  3. Position the chilled cake on a wire rack placed over a baking sheet.
  4. Pour the glaze quickly and evenly over the top of the cake, and use an offset spatula to guide it smoothly.
  5. Let the excess glaze drip off before carefully transferring the cake to a serving platter.
  6. Once the glaze has set, you can decorate the cake with edible paint or pearls if desired.

Notes

Ensure the cake is fully chilled before pouring the glaze to prevent melting. Use high-quality mirror glaze for the perfect shine.
