Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Add warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  4. After fermentation, turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
  5. Place the dough on a floured cloth and cover it. Let it rise for 1-2 hours.
  6. Preheat a Dutch oven to 450°F (230°C).
  7. Carefully place the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
