Description

A simple and flavorful dinner featuring pan-seared fish topped with garlic butter shrimp and creamy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fillets of fish (e.g., salmon, tilapia)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 810 shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the fish in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  3. In another pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp to the butter and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve the pan-seared fish topped with garlic butter shrimp next to a serving of mashed potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Pat fish dry before seasoning for a better sear. Use medium heat to avoid burning the fish. Warm mashed potatoes before serving. Add a splash of lemon juice for extra flavor.
