Soft and fluffy dinner rolls that are easy to make and delightful for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until combined.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 60 minutes).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with additional melted butter if desired.
Notes
Make sure your milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly. Knead well for smooth texture. Don’t rush the rising time for light and airy rolls.
