Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red food coloring
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and a few drops of red food coloring.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread a layer of melted butter.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough into a log and cut into slices.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and pour heavy cream over them.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make sure your butter is melted but not hot when adding it to the dough. For a more vibrant pink color, add more red food coloring as desired.
