- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- Fruit preserves (such as raspberry, strawberry, or apricot)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to smooth it out.
- Cut the pastry into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place half of the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spoon a small amount of fruit preserves onto the center of each heart.
- Top with the remaining heart shapes and press the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Best served warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to two days or refrigerate for a week.
