Description

Delightful puff pastry hearts filled with fruity preserves, perfect for special occasions or as a sweet surprise.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • Fruit preserves (such as raspberry, strawberry, or apricot)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to smooth it out.
  3. Cut the pastry into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Place half of the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spoon a small amount of fruit preserves onto the center of each heart.
  6. Top with the remaining heart shapes and press the edges to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
