- 0.75 cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a mixing bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil; stir until a soft dough forms.
- Shape dough into a loaf and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let rest for 5 minutes while preheating oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush with olive oil or butter; bake for 15 minutes until golden.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve warm with butter, jam, or olive oil. Keep in a bread box or a paper bag for one day, or wrap in plastic and freeze for up to one month.
