Description
These quick and easy dinner rolls are soft, light, and perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to proof for 2-5 minutes.
- Add oil, salt, egg, and flour (1 cup at a time) to the mixture. Mix until combined.
- Let the stand mixer knead the dough for about 4 minutes until fairly soft.
- Spray your hands with baking spray and shape the dough into 15 individual balls.
- Place dough balls in the prepared baking dish and cover with a dish towel.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and let the dough rise on top of the oven while it preheats.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush the tops with melted butter before serving.
Notes
Use warm water to proof the yeast and avoid adding too much flour to keep the rolls light.
