Description

Soft, buttery sheet pan breadsticks made quickly and easily with few ingredients. Perfect as a side dish or snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups warm water (water temp 105° – 115°)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 3¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated)
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Add warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt to a large mixing bowl. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes or until bubbly.
  2. Using the dough hook attachment, slowly add the flour. Mix until the dough starts to form a loose ball.
  3. Cover the mixing bowl with a dish towel and let the dough proof for 30-45 minutes or until the dough has doubled.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper for easy clean-up. Melt the butter and pour half onto the bottom of the sheet pan.
  5. Place the dough in the center of the sheet pan. Starting in the middle of the dough, press the dough outward toward the edge of the pan until it covers the bottom of the pan.
  6. Pour the rest of the melted butter over the dough’s top, ensuring the whole surface is covered. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning evenly over the top.
  7. Let the breadsticks sit for 15-20 minutes or until the dough rises about 1 inch.
  8. Using a pizza cutter, cut the breadsticks into rows of your desired size.
  9. Bake the breadsticks for 18-20 minutes or until they are slightly golden around the edges.
  10. Remove the breadsticks from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra cheesiness, add shredded mozzarella under the Parmesan. Brush the top with garlic butter after baking for a stronger flavor.
