Description

A delightful bread combining soft brioche with sweet, tangy raspberry jam, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth, then place in a greased bowl and let rise for 1-2 hours.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with raspberry jam, and roll it up tightly.
  6. Twist the roll into a loaf shape and place in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Let it rise again for about 30-40 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Brush the top with beaten egg and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For best results, ensure the milk is warm (not hot) to avoid killing the yeast. You can add a pinch of cinnamon to the raspberry jam for extra flavor.
