Description

A soft and sweet brioche loaf with a delightful raspberry swirl, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture, stirring until combined.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread raspberry jam evenly over the surface.
  7. Roll dough tightly into a log and place in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy toasted with butter or as a sweet snack!
