Description
A delightful treat that combines the soft, rich texture of brioche with the sweet-tart flavor of raspberry jam, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a separate bowl. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread raspberry jam over the surface.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let it rise for another 30-60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing. Enjoy toasted with butter or as a sweet snack.
Notes
Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to avoid killing the yeast. Knead well for soft texture.
