Description

Delicious red velvet cinnamon rolls topped with sweet cream cheese frosting, perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, melted butter, red food coloring, and vanilla.
  4. Combine both mixtures until smooth.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface, then spread melted butter over it. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. For the frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Once the rolls are done, let them cool slightly, then spread the frosting on top.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
