Description

Delicious dessert bars that combine the flavors of snickerdoodle cookies and creamy cheesecake, perfect for gatherings or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring until combined.
  5. Spread half of the dough into the prepared baking dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and spread over the cookie layer.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough on top of the cheesecake layer.
  8. Mix cinnamon with a bit of sugar and sprinkle on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bars are set and lightly golden.
  10. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Best served chilled or at room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar or serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
