Description

A delightful appetizer combining sweet strawberries and creamy goat cheese, perfect for parties or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened goat cheese with honey until well combined.
  3. Spread the goat cheese mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.
  4. Top with sliced strawberries and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for best flavor. Try adding chopped nuts on top for crunch. Adjust honey for sweetness preference.
