Description

A delightful dessert combining sweet and salty flavors with a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cheese layer, and fruity jello topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mix well and press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  3. In another bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in boiling water. Stir in the sliced strawberries. Allow the jello to cool slightly, then pour over the cheesecake layer.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or until set. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

For firmer jello, let it cool to room temperature before pouring over the cream cheese layer. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
