Description

Strawberry Tanghulu is a delightful treat that combines the natural sweetness of strawberries with a crisp candy coating, offering a burst of flavor and fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1012 Strawberries

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, water, and corn syrup.
  2. Stir a few times until the sugar dissolves, then turn the heat up to medium-high and stop stirring.
  3. Let the mixture simmer until it reaches about 300 degrees, then remove it from the heat.
  4. Skewer each strawberry on a wooden skewer and carefully dip each one into the hot sugar, tilting the pan and twirling the strawberries to completely coat them.
  5. Lay the coated strawberries on a sheet of parchment and leave them to cool and harden.
  6. Best eaten on the day they’re made.

Notes

Make sure your strawberries are completely dry before dipping. Use a candy thermometer for precise temperature control and be cautious with hot sugar syrup.
