Description

Soft, fluffy, and subtly sweet, these dinner rolls are a delightful addition to any meal, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking pan.
  8. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, brush with melted butter right after baking. Feel free to add cinnamon or dried fruit for variation.
