Description
Quick and easy biscuits made with just two ingredients, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Grease a round cake pan or iron skillet with oil or solid Crisco.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and heavy whipping cream. Mix just until they come together.
- Transfer the dough to a floured work surface. Fold the dough over itself like a calzone and repeat this process three more times. If the dough is sticky, sprinkle a little more flour as needed.
- Pat the dough out to a thickness of about 3/4 to 1 inch.
- Using a 2 1/2-inch biscuit or cookie cutter, cut the biscuits by pressing straight down and lifting the cutter back up without twisting.
- Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown on top. Brush the tops with butter before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with butter and jam or alongside soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
