Description

Delicious heart-shaped pancakes paired with fresh fruit kabobs, perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, etc.)
  • Skewers for fruit kabobs

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter together.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour the batter into a heart-shaped cookie cutter to form pancakes.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  6. For Cupid’s arrow fruit kabobs, thread assorted fresh fruit onto skewers and shape them like arrows.
  7. Serve the pancakes with fruit kabobs for a fun Valentine’s Day breakfast.

Notes

Make sure the skillet is hot enough before you add the batter for even cooking. Use non-stick spray or butter in the cookie cutter to prevent sticking.
