- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup M&M candies (preferably Valentine’s themed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the M&M candies.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them a few inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Make sure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing. Avoid overbaking for a chewy texture. Experiment with different flavored M&Ms.
