- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Melt the white chocolate and let it cool slightly; then add it along with the buttermilk and vanilla extract to the batter.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth; add powdered sugar and lemon juice, mixing until well combined.
- Divide half of the cake batter into the prepared pans. Spoon the cheesecake batter in the center, then top with the remaining cake batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool before removing them from the pans.
