A fun and healthy breakfast option for toddlers, these Baby French Toast Sticks are easy to make and perfect for little hands.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of whole grain bread
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- Olive oil or butter for cooking
Instructions
- Cut the slices of bread into strips, about 1-inch wide.
- Whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth in a bowl.
- Heat a skillet on medium heat and add a little olive oil or butter.
- Dip each bread strip into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated.
- Place the coated strips in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove them from the skillet and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh fruit, yogurt, or a drizzle of maple syrup. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month.
