Description

Festive red, white, and blue Jello shots perfect for celebrating the 4th of July.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 pack of red Jello mix
  • 1 pack of blue Jello mix
  • 1 cup vodka (or another alcohol of your choice)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the red Jello mix in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka to the red Jello mixture. Mix well.
  3. Pour the red mixture into small shot cups, filling them about one-third full. Place them in the fridge to set for about 120 minutes.
  4. Prepare the white layer by mixing the whipped cream with the remaining vodka. Allow it to chill.
  5. Once the red layer is set, pour the whipped cream mixture over the red layer, filling the cups to two-thirds full. Return to the fridge for another 60 minutes.
  6. Repeat the process for the blue Jello. Dissolve the blue Jello mix in boiling water, and then add the cold water and vodka.
  7. Once the white layer is set, pour the blue mixture on top, filling each cup to the top. Let them set in the refrigerator for at least another 120 minutes.

Notes

Serve chilled and consider adding festive decorations for an extra touch.
